King of Rock 'n' Roll Elvis Presley and baseball legend Babe Ruth were among the seven recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom from US President Donald Trump, at a ceremony in Washington DC on Friday.

The full list of recipients included Senator Orrin Hatch, Justice Antonin Scalia, Miriam Adelson, Roger Staubach, Alan Page, Babe Ruth, and Elvis Presley.

"For five decades, I have to say, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is being given to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to American life and culture," said Trump before awarding the medals.

Ruth's grandson Thomas Stevens was the recipient on behalf of the baseball legend, whereas Elvis Presley Enterprises President/CEO Jack Soden received the medal on behalf of the Presley family.
