Hailing from my home state of South Australia, The Masters Apprentices made a large impact on the direction of Australian music in the 1960s & early 70s. One of the 3 most influential pop/rock bands at the time, they couldn't break overseas. This song was recorded in 1969 at Armstrong Studios on an 8 track machine. Despite a radio ban on Australian music at the time, Turn Up Your Radio went on to become a big hit all over Australia. It's now regarded as an iconic song from that era. The band went on to record 2 highly rated albums at Abbey Road. All credit goes to The Masters Apprentices.
