Tina Turner is undoubtedly one of the most recognisable names and voices to have graced the music industry, inspiring millions of fans across the globe.  While many may think they know the story behind the Private Dancer songstress, Tina, 81, is to re-emerge from her retirement to share her true story.  Baring her soul, the iconic superstar will feature in an upcoming HBO Max documentary, going behind the scenes of her early life in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her life nowadays.  Tina is set to sit down for her first televised interview in several years, sharing her private story that nobody has heard - until now.  In the trailer that was released by HBO, Tina can be seen sitting down in front of a camera as a voice is heard saying: "This is interview one, take one."  The rockstar who was catapulted to international stardom in July 1960 will discuss her life growing up, her mother as well as sharing never-before-seen video clips from her early life in Tennessee before revealing footage of the early days of her legendary stage career.  Speaking about her mum, Zelma Priscilla, Tina says: "My mother, she used to sit in the window of the kitchen while she was making dinner on Sundays, I used to just watch her.  "One day, she wasn't in that window, she was never in it again. I wanted her to come for me and I waited, she never did."  While her iconic hit Proud Mary plays softly in the background, Tina, whose real name is Anna Mae Bullock goes on to say: "It's all right, you know why? I'm a girl from a cotton field that pulled myself above the destruction and the mistakes and I'm here for you."  The documentary which first came to light at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival will feature interviews with Tina from her home in Zurich, Switzerland, where she resides after renouncing her American citizenship. Like what you see? Then fill your boots...  Pals such as Oprah Winfrey, Angela Bassett and Katori Hall will also share their stories of the iconic singer and performer.  In a rare move, Tina's beloved husband, Erwin Bach, will also feature in the documentary, Tina and actor Erwin married in 2013.  It was announced this month that Tina is to be inducted into the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  Now, this isn't the first time Tina has stepped out of retirement, the Private Dancer singer spoke out in November 2019, updating fans on her health as she celebrated her 80th birthday.  She also released her painfully honest autobiography, Happiness Becomes You, By Tina Turner, last year following the release of a re-mastered version of What's Love Got To Do With It? featuring producer Kygo.  Tina will debut on Sky TV on March 28 and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
