Born as Tommy Garrett, but known as Snuff Garrett. One of the great producers in the 60s in Los Angeles. Working at Liberty Records and on his own, he produced huge hits with Bobby Vee, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Cher, Vicki Lawrence and more. Snuff loved his latin music and put together many albums known as 50 guitars of Snuff Garrett. The first two albums featured the great Laurindo Almeida on solo guitar. According to Snuff, Laurindo's management wanted a piece of the album and Snuff moved the music into Tommy Tedesco's Chair where he sat for the next 30 years. With Snuff's passing, we are fortunate enough that his music lives on. Varese has released the best of these great albums. Many of the arrangements were done by Ernie Freeman and drums by Earl Palmer. Go to www.wreckingcrewfilm.com to grab the CD.
