It turns out that the lore tab for the exotic Destiny 2 weapon Skyburner's Oath is partially(fully?) inspired by the song "Fortunate Song" by CCR. Obviously, some liberty was taken with the original lyric and cadences, but in our opinion the relationship between the weapon and the song is pretty strong! Considering the militaristic overtones of the Cabal species and the anti-war nature of a swath of Creedence Clearwater Revival songs, it is at the very least a pleasing coincidence... Would this be the first time Bungie used some big-brian energy though?
