Sir Paul comes to Lambeau Field

GREEN BAY (SPECTRUM NEWS) June 8, 2019: Green Bay experienced a British Invasion this week with 55,000 fans converging upon Titletown to see legendary musician, Paul McCartney.

However, there is one local Green Bay fan who might top them all.

Addi Sorbo created a Beatles themed AirBnB ahead of the concert, with a special painting as the studio apartment's focal point.
"This is a painting I had done when I was in high school. Art was always my favorite subject. And, my art teach had stretched a canvass for me and I had just started painting the Sergeant Peppers," explained Sorbo.

Sorbo was hoping the colorful London/Beatles themed apartment would capture the attention of Paul McCartney and convince him to stay there while he was in town, but it didn't work.

The labor of love was not entirely wasted though. A couple from North Dakota who are also Beatles fans rented the apartment for the weekend.

"Very unique, very appropriate for what we're doing. And, if you're a fan of the Beatles, everything is here," explained Bruce Schremm of North Dakota who was there with his wife Bobbie.

Sorbo also remodeled the bathroom to be London themed.

"We were trying to figure out what we could do with the shower. And, we bought this door at re-store, and then cut all the pieces to make it into a phone booth. And, then I found this image of Paul McCartney on the phone, and then found a vinyl graphic so he's there. I know it may be a little creepy for people to go to the bathroom. But, you literally go into the phone booth to take a shower," explained Sorbo.

Sorbo even named her marketing and design firm that she founded in 2006 'Strawberry Fields Design.'

"I originally wanted to have a themed restaurant and I had it named Strawberry Fields Cafe and I had it all planned out, but then I realized I didn't want to run a restaurant, I actually wanted to do design and marketing for restaurants and other businesses like that, so this is where I work during the day, and I have a lot of my Beatles things on the wall, so I can have it surrounding me when I'm working," explained Sorbo.

Sorbo even sent Paul McCartney a twenty eight page letter-presentation detailing her lifelong fandom and appreciation of McCartney.

His music and the Beatles music has really influenced my life. I just really wanted to meet him. He just seems like such a cool guy. The main thing about sending him this is that I know that he's on tour. He's doing all kinds of busy crazy things all the time, and so I wanted to invite him to come to my house and just cook. And, I said we could cook something from your cookbook or we'll do whatever. I just thought it would be great for him to come and have a little down time to see a little Midwest hospitality." said Sorbo.
