Run Through the Jungle is a song by Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) released in 1970. The song was written by guitarist and songwriter, John Fogerty. It was included on their 1970 album Cosmo's Factory. The song's title and lyrics, as well as the year it was released, have led many (including me!) to assume that the song is about the Vietnam War. This makes sense, as previous CCR song, like “Fortunate Son” were protests of the Vietnam War.
In a 2016 interview however, Fogerty said that the song is actually about the proliferation of guns in the United States.
