Paul McCartney has paid an emotional tribute to his friend and bandmate John Lennon on the 40th anniversary of his death.  Beatles legend Paul shared a photo of himself and John together in their heyday to social media.  Paul, 78, wrote an emotional caption to go alongside the snap of the pair, taken by Paul's wife Linda, as he marked the sad occasion.   The caption said: "A sad sad day but remembering my friend John with the great joy he brought to the world.  "I will always be proud and happy to have known and worked with this incredible Scouser! X love Paul."   And Paul's followers rushed to offer their own tributes to John in the comments.
