1978: Styx released their eighth studio album, Pieces of Eight. It achieved significant commercial success, reaching triple platinum status in the United States, thanks to hit singles like "Blue Collar Man," "Sing for the Day," and "Renegade."

1984: Tina Turner achieved her first #1 hit on the US charts as a solo artist with "What's Love Got to Do with It". At age 44, she became the oldest female artist to top the chart at that time. "What's Love Got to Do with It" went on to become one of Turner's signature hits and won multiple Grammy Awards.
