In 1987, Paul McCartney recorded “Lend Me Your Comb” as
part of the sessions for his Choba B CCCP album ; this
performance remains unreleased. However, a fragment
appears on a medley of several songs from the “Choba B CCCP”
sessions, which leaked online in April 2010, presumably from
cassettes from the legacy of former Wings roadie Trevor Jones,
auctioned off by Christie’s in 1998.

Lend Me Your Comb" was on the fourth Carl Perkins single released
in the UK in April 1958. It was a staple of The Beatles’ act for several
years before they made their BBC recording. John and Paul replicate
the harmony singing of Carl and his brother Jay heard on the original.
This track was first released in 1995 on The Beatles’ Anthology 1.
