Right before Elvis went to Germany to join the US armed forces in 1958 he recorded and filmed King Creole, his 4th motion picture.
Both soundtrack and film are landmark releases: the film presented Elvis in his best acting role until then and the soundtrack is an exciting mix of rock 'n roll and a typical Mississippi style rhythm and blues.
This week we celebrate the 60th anniversary of both album and soundtrack. Enjoy!
