When I was about 8 years old I remember there was a pharmacy up at the end of my street, only about 2 blocks from my house. They had a soda fountain with various bottles of syrup that you would put into a soda fountain drink. One of the syrups was called “Green River” and I looked at the bottle on the other side of the counter one day and said that’s important… I’m gonna remember that!

54 years ago today the album ‘Green River’ was released and features some of my favorite songs I’ve written: “Green River” the title track, “Bad Moon Rising”, “Lodi”, and “Wrote A Song For Everyone” to name a few. Now after all this time these songs are back home and it’s been amazing celebrating that accomplishment on this tour. Thank you to all the fans who have came out and sang these songs with me… this record is for you!
