In this video guitar lesson you will learn the classic acoustic hit "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?" by the legendary Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Guitarist/singer John Fogerty wrote this simple yet extremely effective little acoustic track in 1970 and it was released on their album Pendulum from the same year.

This Have You Ever Seen The Rain guitar lesson will teach you how to play all the chords of this classic rock staple in no time at all.

I think this lesson would be great to learn for just about any guitarist no matter what your level. We have one barre chord in the song but everything else is just the simple open position chords that we all learned in our very first guitar lesson.

Most of the song revolves around a simple verse/chorus progression. There is a quick little intro and outro that are pretty simple as well.

"Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" is a great example of taking a few simple chords, poignant lyrics and a timeless melody to create a piece of music that will always stand the test of time. Songs like this just never seem to go out of style. :)

I do cover the right hand rhythm a little bit in this video lesson as well. It has a straight forward 8th note feel throughout 95% of the song. Because of that, you will find that if you are a beginning guitarist this straight 8th note rhythm gives you ample opportunity to simply pay closer attention to the chord changes.

So whether you are a total beginner or an advanced guitarist just wanting to quickly learn this acoustic classic for the campfire, I hope you enjoy playing this timeless classic by Creedence Clearwater Revival! :)
