Composed in 1968 by Mark James who recorded in the same year but was a commercial failure and gave the music to Elvis that 1969 reached top of the charts and ended up being one of the main songs and Elvis. The song is about a suspicious and dysfunctional relationship, and the need for the characters to overcome their problems in order to maintain it.
