On August 28, 1971, Elvis Presley received the Bing Crosby Award.
a lifetime achievement award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).
At the time, Elvis was 36 years old, making him the youngest recipient of the award.

There have only been five previous recipients of the award:
Bing Crosby (for whom it has just been renamed),
Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald and Irving Berlin.
