Red West, actor, stuntman, songwriter and one of Elvis' inner circle of bodyguards 'The Memphis Mafia' wrote this in 1965 and released it himself with minimal interest so he offered it to Elvis.
Red was one of three members of Elvis' bodyguards fired by Vernon, Elvis' dad, after trying to draw attention to the mounting drug use. The other two were Sonny West, Red's Cousin and David Hebler. Together they wrote the book 'Elvis: What Happened?' trying to warn Elvis and telling the world of the secret life of Elvis' drug use. Sadly Elvis died just weeks after publication proving the claims were accurate.
Elvis reached #9 in the UK charts but failed to chart in the US
