Another great song in the pantheon/canon of the great Paul McCartney. His post-Beatles career was off to an excellent start.
One of the things I forgot to mention in my commentary (starts at 4:20); I tuned the guitars/bass down to D standard (D G F C/ A D). I did this to lessen the strain of my vocal interpretation.
Sir Paul is a vocal virtuoso/savant. He is exceptional at developing a vocal approach that is perfectly suited to his song. He is not a one-trick pony. One, amongst many things, that makes him great is his ability to push the gain on his voice and seemingly sound in complete control. So much control. It is like he has a natural clean boost in his throat. Incredible stuff. He doesn't strain, he just turns the dial to more.
Next to this titan of popular music? I tune the instruments down a whole step and struggle through it.
