After the Beatles recorded AbbeyRoad John Lennon stated that he was leaving the Beatles, but complied with an Allen Klein request to keep it a secret. In the meantime, McCartney refused to put Cold Turkey out as a Beatle single and eventually began working on his first solo album. But in early 1970 would the heartbroken Beatle be amenable to a phone call from Allen Klein, the man he refused to accept as a Beatles manager? Would Paul McCartney agree to put aside his differences with Klein for the sake of Beatle unity? This fascinating hypothetical dramatisation of a telephone conversation draws on real Beatle history and blends it with a dash of artistic licence.
