The 51/50s race along a moonlight road, hypnotised by a mysterious 5th passenger. The surreal character thrashes around in the back seats, laughing at the power he holds over the band. He controls their every move and forces them on this perilous drive. The band fight to remain conscious and struggle to overcome impish character's hypnotic powers.

This character embodies the main themes of the song, personifying greed, propaganda and the mass media, illustrating the oppressive effects they have on the band, and us all.
