director Prashanth Neel's KGF, which is being shot currently, is nearly 50% completed. As the makers release the look of lead actor Yash as Rocky, in a slick, suave 70s look, they reveal another major news. "KGF is going to have a release in five languages. Apart from Kannada, it will also have versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, which will mark our production house, Hombale Films, as well as Yash's foray across these different industries," says Karthik Gowda from the production house.
The film is a complete period drama and is set in the 70s and early 80s. A technical team, which includes cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, music director Ravi Basrur and art director Shivakumar, have worked towards creating the ambience and look of that era. "We have the reigning Miss Supranational Srinidhi Shetty as our heroine. Some of the Kannada actors onboard include Achyuth Kumar, Vasishta N Simha and B Suresha. We are also looking at Ramya Krishna and Nasser joining our crew in later schedules," adds Karthik.
The film has so far been shot in Kolar, Bengaluru and Mysuru. "In our upcoming schedules, we plan on visiting Kolkata, Mumbai and Ladakh as well, apart from more shoots in Mysuru and Bengaluru," adds Karthik, who also says that after the success of Raajakumara, they are excited to venture outside Karnataka with this ambitious project that has raised a lot of expectations.
